FRANCES  C.  MACK

I'm a freelance multimedia journalist, specializing in science, environment and health reporting. I leverage creative communication tools and storytelling to make the intricacies of our world accessible and engaging. I have writing, editing, photography, videography, animation, marketing and design experience. My work has been published by the American Journal of Undergraduate Research, Planet Forward, Chicago Health, PBS and the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists. You can read some of my personal work on Substack.

I’m also a senior communications specialist at Corning Incorporated, a Fortune 300 material science corporation in Upstate New York. Day to day, I write company-wide messages for the Health Services and Global Security functions. I graduated with a Master of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University Medill, and from Lehigh University in 2024 with high honors and a Bachelor of Arts in scientific and environmental journalism with minors in museum studies and environmental science.
